I tried google searching there's just way too many that match the criteria. so it's a relatively recent song (within the last year)

it's a guy singing (i think, it could be a girl with a deep voice but I'm pretty sure it's a male)

and the chorus starts with: "OOOO ooo OOO ooo OOOO" uppercase being high notes and lower being...lower notes.

and part of the chorus he says "come back home" (This is NOT the name of the song, it's part of a longer lyric in which I can't remember the rest.

I've heard this song in Applebees (where I can't ask the waiter because he doesn't know), and I was aware it was on, but it was too loud in the restaurant to hear the lyrics.

In the gas station today (on the radio so he wouldn't know), again, too low, and there was a line of people behind me.

and the first time I heard it was at a party where the girl who owned the CD was too drunk to give a fuck about answering me.

and i really like this song. it's slightly acoustic, and slower.
